Foodies Heaven

Everyone needs some inspiration. My 'weekend' inspiration comes from a plethora of  videos that I watch; my YouTube/ Netflix history will corroborate that !!!

I have tried to list a few links below. Will try to refine them as I come across more :). Do tell me what you think; you can always reach out to me on my Facebook page or Instagram account. Go follow!!!

YouTube Channels : These are the best way to learn about food and recipes. I have mentioned some which might be of interest to you. Try them !!

  • VahChef : This channel has great videos for someone who wants to cook lip-smacking Indian dishes without being overwhelmed with too many specifications. It's simple videos will excite you for sure.

  • Get Curried: This channel has videos from a lot of chefs who will show you various Indian cuisines in interesting way. They show more of contemporary dishes which will excite you for sure.

  • Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana: He has been the poster-boy of Indian cooking. This channel has a lot of videos from him as well as other professional chefs. If you want to prepare dishes  which have a bit of restaurant like flavour then go through this channel.

  • Brothers Green Eats: These brothers cook very easy dishes and if you are trying to survive on your own then I definitely recommend this channel.

  • Gordon Ramsay: He is another poster boy of professional cooking. Certain videos might overwhelm you or might appear a bit technical (yes cooking also has it's nuisances)  but a lot of videos are good to start your culinary journey.

  • AlmazanKitchen: This channel takes the phrase 'food-porn' to a different level. Even though you might not be able to cook the way they do but just watch for some inspiration!!!

  • Jamie Oliver - Drinks: Just serving dishes might be a bit boring ; head to this channel for some ideas to spice up things with cocktails ;)

  • Bryon Talbott: He is a poster-boy of YouTube and has some great dishes to impress your friends. In case you are feeling a bit guilty after watching his food videos you can get some healthy advice from his wife Rachel Talbott who runs her own channel and shares tips on 'home, beauty, skincare and more'.

  • FoodFood: This is another channel for people who love Indian cuisine; in case you are a die-hard fan of punjabi cuisine like me then search for 'Turban Tadka' videos by Chef Harpal Sokhi on this channel.

  • BongEats: Being brought-up in a multi-cultural society has it's own charms and bengali cuisine has been savored in my family for long. I also got first hand experience of the amazing food while studying in Calcutta so go have a look at this channel and you will not be disappointed.

NetFlix: It is also a great way to learn about cooking. Some series that I will definitely recommend are 'Chef'sTable' and 'Raja, Rasoi aur anya Kahaniyaan'.

Instagram Channels: Do have a look at my Instagram page and check-out the accounts that I follow. I am sure you will be able to find something which piques your interest. But don't forget to follow me.
