In north India parathas are a staple breakfast, be it aloo, paneer, gobhi or any other filling. One such variant is sattu paratha. 'Sattu' is roasted gram flour and is a super-food. You will see people drinking it with some black salt in summers. So let's start cooking.

Ingredients: Dough: Wheat flour - 2 cups, Oil for dough - 2 tsp, Water - as required,Table salt - 1/2 tsp; Filling: Coriander powder - 2 tbps, Green chilli ( finely chopped) - 2 medium, Ginger ( grated) - 1 inch, Table salt - 3/4 tsp,Black salt - 1/4 tsp, Masala from chilli pickle ( use the bharwa masala) - 2 tsp, Kalonji - 2 pinch, Carom seeds - 2 pinch, Mustard oil - 1 tsp; Oil for frying - 4 tbsp

Steps:

i. Prepare a dough and keep it aside for 15 mins to rest

ii. Mix all the filings in one bowl

iii. While filling the pastry ensure that it is not too much otherwise the paratha will open up

iv. Heat tawa with some oil

iv. Place your paratha on the tawa and fry it on both side until it's golden

Serve with some raita and white butter and enjoy!!!
